Seborrhoeic keratoses are benign, non-contagious skin lesions, often mistaken for moles due to their colour and raised appearance. Although they belong to the broader wart family, they are not viral and do not spread.
They commonly appear as multiple lesions, particularly on covered areas of the body, and are also frequently seen on the face and neck in mature skin. These lesions are usually brown or tan due to melanin, with a dry, scaly or crusty surface and a characteristic “stuck-on” appearance.
Sizes can vary significantly—from very small to larger lesions—and their uneven, sometimes clefted surface can be cosmetically bothersome or irritating.
Seborrhoeic keratoses can be safely and effectively removed using diathermy (AC).
This method allows precise removal of the lesion while preserving surrounding healthy skin.
The procedure is:
quick and controlled
performed in a clinical setting
suitable for both facial and body lesions
aimed at cosmetic improvement and comfort
